. . . stuff on your sidebar?

last year when we were fundraising
for my sister
i wrote a post on my blog
about going to
target
for all of my christmas gifts.

days later there was an email
in my inbox
from a reader who kindly
taught me a needed lesson.

the world of craftspeople, artists
photographers, designers, writers,
etsy-shop owners
were our greatest allies when it came
to fundraising.

they gave
and gave
and even donated monthly salaries.

why not spend less money at big chains
and focus on giving back to those
who had donated their valued
time and art
to our cause?
she asked me.

and that is what i intend to do.
support those who supported us.

on my sidebar i have a section called
contents from my postal box
which are tiny reviews of happy gifts
i've been given in the past year.

if you are looking for something simple
a small bit of homemade happiness
try my sidebar and join me
in supporting
the little people
with big hearts.

Now see thats what comments/emails are for, helping, growing, learning, teaching and sharing... I give two hoots less about your bubbies and if they are in a pic... have you yet been stoned for showing so much leg in the "piano" pic- my eyes still hurt from so much flesh. Prayers that you enjoy your time off from the other spot and are able to "see" the path that He has planned, Many blessings to you and yours. :)
(dangit! already I need those shoes from the too much flesh shoot the other day, please spill it~)

That's great - but remember those big box chains employ some of us. I'm a single mom working for Target so I appreciate your shopping there :)

I totally love this idea. I love buying from small sellers because the products are always so unique. And I must give you props for recognizing two amazingly talented women I'm blessed to have in my hood: Little Red Wren and Crystal B! They are both crazy talented.
